Sublimely situated where the Andes mountain range reaches its greatest height, the province of Mendoza covers a vast area of 148,827 km2 in western central Argentina. Among Mendoza’s three major wine producing areas, the Uco Valley is considered one of the best in Argentina. Located 75 minutes south of the city of Mendoza, it is a bucolic valley that lies north of the Tunuyán River and is part of Tunuyán, Tupungato, and San Carlos districts. The combination of its climate and geographical elements provide an excellent ripening and array of fruits, providing deep colors, intense aromas, pleasing flavors, and important textures for its prized Malbec, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Semillion, and Torrontes wines.

From the imposing presence of the 6,962-meter Aconcagua—Americas' highest peak—Mendoza announces the majesty of its generous geography.
