Christie's International Real Estate CEO Bonnie Stone Sellers Participates in Fall 2013 Symposium of the New York University Stern Center for Real Estate Finance Research

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – The Center for Real Estate Finance Research at NYU Stern school recently hosted its annual Fall symposium at Bloomberg headquarters in new York City.

Christie’s International Real Estate CEO Bonnie Stone Sellers participated in the Changing Face of the NYC Luxury Residential Market panel. Sellers was joined on the panel by Harry Macklowe, Principal, Macklowe Properties; Philip Milstein, Principal, Ogden Capital; and Daria Salusbury, Senior Vice President, Related Companies.  The moderator was Edward Glickman, Professor of Finance, NYU Stern.

“I was honored to participate in this symposium,” said Sellers. “Global buyers of luxury property continue to view New York as a spectacular place to invest because of the city’s centrality as a business and cultural hub. New York is experiencing strong growth in the luxury residential sector, and I was pleased to share our perspective with industry leaders.”

The all-day event focused on four current topics in real estate finance: Investing in Legal Private-Label Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities: Is 2013 the 9th Inning?; GSE Reform: Are the Multi-Family Risk Sharing Programs the Way to Go in the Single-Family Market?; Multi-Family Affordable Housing in New York City: Is it Approaching a Fiscal Cliff?; and The Changing Face of the NYC Luxury Residential Market.

The Center for Real Estate Finance Research at NYU Stern aims to foster thought leadership in real estate finance, to support the teaching mission of the school to produce future leaders in the real estate industry, and to promote dialogue with our alumni and industry leaders in the field.
