An Exclusive Affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, Brown Harris Stevens Represented Both Buyer and Seller
Manhattan, New York - The highest-ever residential sale in New York City closed last week for US$88 million. Brokered by exclusive Affiliate Brown Harris Stevens Residential Sales, the penthouse apartment at 15 Central Park West closed at full asking price.
Ideally situated in the heart of Manhattan, the four-bedroom residence features magnificent views of Central Park, a wraparound terrace, an oval bedroom, and a study panelled in Brazilian rosewood.
Brown Harris Stevens represented both sides of the transaction—Senior Vice President and Managing Director Kyle W. Blackmon represented the seller, while Maria Torresy, also a Senior Vice President and Managing Director, represented the international buyer.
The sale is the most expensive residential property transaction worldwide to date this year, and was 66 percent higher than the previous record in the city.
