Long & Foster Real Estate, Largest Affiliate in The Christie’s International Real Estate Network, Expands its Footprint to Southern New Jersey
Nation’s No. 1 independent real estate company will now exclusively represent counties of Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, Salem and Gloucester in New Jersey
Christie's International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network and a subsidiary of Christie’s auction house, is proud to announce that affiliate Long & Foster Real Estate has expanded to Southern New Jersey.
As the largest privately-held real estate company in the United States, Long & Foster currently maintains the greatest amount of market coverage in Christie’s International Real Estate network, representing more than 10,000 agents in seven Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states, as well as the District of Columbia. Use of the Christie’s brand is designated to luxury homes valued at more than US$1 million.
News of Long & Foster’s recent expansion to Southern New Jersey -- the counties of Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, Salem and Gloucester -comes on the heels of the company’s January announcement that it increased its size by a third, expanding to the states of Delaware and Maryland, including Annapolis; Bucks County in Pennsylvania; Washington, D.C.; Berkley, Morgan, and Jefferson counties in West Virginia, and the Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Hampton Roads areas of Virginia.
“Long & Foster is a renowned industry leader with widespread reach, and we look forward to continuing the promotion of its luxury division within these new markets,” said Kathleen Coumou, Senior Vice President of Christie’s International Real Estate.
“Coupled with the company’s impeccable reputation for service, our programs and marketing initiatives will continue spotlighting Long & Foster’s fine properties on a global scale, bolstering connections between high-end buyers and sellers in these exclusive territories.”
“Through our partnership with Christie’s International Real Estate, our luxury division continues to grow, and we are honored to be furthering its presence in Southern New Jersey,” said P. Wesley Foster, Jr., president and CEO, The Long & Foster Companies, Inc. “This latest expansion provides our high-net-worth clients with the backing of globally respected brands, and our sales associates with the effective tools to achieve results-driven excellence.”
Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc. has been among the most active brokerages in the Christie’s International Real Estate network. Properties represented by the company’s top agents were sold through the Bespoke Marketing Program, the world’s most exclusive marketing innovation for high-value real estate worldwide. Britland Farms, located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, was listed at US$10.15 million and sold in September 2008; Doe Run, in Unionville, Pennsylvania, was listed at US$15 million and sold in December 2008; and Evermay, in Washington, D.C., was listed for US$25.9 million and commanded a price that ranks among the highest ever achieved in the area. Evermay closed in July 2011. Currently enrolled in the program is Arbor Hill, in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, listed for US$25M. Properties in the Bespoke Marketing Program benefit from heightened marketing exposure at Christie’s auction venues and art events around the globe.
