Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates to Host Charles Antin, Christie's Associate Vice President and Wine Specialist at June 23 Wine Auction and Dinner

Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates, the exclusive Affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate in Wyoming, announced today that Charles Antin, Associate Vice President and Wine Specialist at Christie’s Auction House will be the Celebrity Auctioneer for this year’s Gala Dinner and Wine Auction on Saturday, June 23.  

“There is no other organization in the Teton Region that can offer direct access to the worldwide expertise of an organization like Christie’s,” said Julie Faupel, a Principal of Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates and Grand Teton Music Festival Board member. “We are proud to have made the introduction of Charles Antin to the Jackson Hole Wine Auction.  As one of the preeminent charity wine auctions in the country, we look forward to a continued relationship between Christie’s and the Jackson Hole Wine Auction.”  Faupel continued, “In the past, Jackson has been host to other experts from Christie’s departments, ranging from American art to real estate, we are so proud to have a global affiliation that can be of such great service to this community.”   

Charles Antin is enthusiastic about this new relationship. “It is a pleasure to represent Christie’s in one of the most beautiful destinations in the country, Jackson Hole, while I am surrounded by connoisseurs that share my passion for fine wines. In the seventeen years since its inception, the annual Wine Auction has raised millions of dollars for the continued enrichment of arts and culture in Jackson Hole through it’s beneficiary organization, Grand Teton Music Festival and I am proud to be a part of this fine event.”       

Charles Antin is a Specialist for the New York Christie's Wine Department, Associate Vice President and both a charity and commercial auctioneer. At Christie’s, he works with over $10m of fine wine at auction annually. He earned the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Advanced Certificate with distinction and won the Nikki Singer award for wine study. His fiction and essays have appeared in the New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, the Virginia Quarterly Review, the Gettysburg Review and Glimmer Train where he won the award for short fiction. He holds an MFA in fiction from New York University; is a commercially rated pilot and certified as a competition judge from the Kansas City Barbecue Society.
