Daniel Féau of Christie’s International Real Estate Elegantly Captures Synergy of Art and Homes at FIAC

City of Lights sizzles with creative vision during internationally acclaimed Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain Fair

Paris, France – The Fashion Capital of the World transformed into the Capital of Contemporary Art during last week’s Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain or FIAC, which ended October 23. Daniel Féau, the exclusive Affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, hosted a private reception for important international art clients attending FIAC at the Paris headquarters of Christie’s.

Combining iconic historic landmarks with cutting edge Contemporary Art, Paris is an elegant canvas for the acclaimed international event. Headquartered at the breathtaking and majestic Grand Palais, the work by the new generation of artists literally spills out into satellite venues and onto the streets with sculptures and displays cropping up all around the fabled city.

In honor of the fair, Christie’s France auctioned Modern and Contemporary art, thoughtfully accumulated by Claude Berri (1934-2009), the French Oscar-winning director and producer. The first sale from this iconic collector fetched EUR8,320,125 and was the perfect opportunity for international collectors attending FIAC to bid on works amassed by Berri, renowned for his impeccable taste in discovering cutting-edge contemporary artists and supporting young talent.

“The day-to-day cooperation between Christie’s and Christie’s International Real Estate is what sets our network apart. We work hand-in-glove with our art colleagues to offer the ultimate in client service to assist in acquisitions of fine art and fine architecture," said Julie Leonhardt LaTorre, Senior Vice President, Christie’s International Real Estate.

“FIAC is one of the most important arts fairs in the world and we were thrilled to be the exclusive sponsor of Christie’s distinguished Parisian event which celebrates contemporary art. Luxury home owners are often art collectors and there is a natural synergy between striking pieces of art and high-end property. We were overwhelmed by the positive response from attendees and look forward to continuing to support future Christie’s FIAC events,” said Charles-Marie Jottras, President of Daniel FEAU and Marie Hélène Lundgreen, Director of Belles demeures de France, affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate.

Christie’s International Real Estate is the industry leader in highly targeted outreach at important global luxury events. The network recently collaborated with Christie’s auction house to display jewels from the Ronald and Nancy Reagan collection and real estate from the global affiliate network at The Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, which attracts discerning car collectors from around the world. This week in Miami, a Christie’s Latin American art tour was installed in a $25.5 million estate listed with Christie’s International Real Estate for an exclusive and intimate cocktail reception and viewing.
