Wetag Consulting Sells One of the Most Significant Estates in Lugano, Switzerland
Castello di Paradiso is a masterpiece by Florence architect Gino Coppedè
Wetag Consulting, the exclusive Affiliate in Ticino, Switzerland, sold one of the most recognizable residences in Lugano this month, a masterpiece by Florence architect Gino Coppedè (1866-1927). Villa Cattaneo, or better known under its popular name "Castello di Paradiso," was built between 1908 and 1911 on a carefully chosen position considered to give the most impressive view of the Lugano bay and city. It is today the most visible and the best-known of the Lugano landmarks.
Castello di Paradiso, pictured above, was designed by Coppedè as testament to Florence's famous "Palazzo Vecchio" and is replete with an eight-floor, 35-meter tower.
