Christie's International Real Estate to Capture the 'Art of Real Estate' at Christie's Asian Art Week in New York

Presence from affiliates will provide valuable synergy between fine art and luxury real estate

Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network and a subsidiary of Christie’s auction house, is proud to participate in Christie’s Asian Art Week of Spring 2013, providing a strong real estate presence during the auctions of fine Chinese ceramics and works of art. Taking place March 19-22 in the New York showroom, Christie’s, the global leader in Asian art, will host a series of eight sales, showcasing rare works of art and distinguished private collections from China, Japan, Korea, India, and beyond.

During the auction event, affiliates of Christie’s International Real Estate will host an exclusive lounge area for auction patrons to visit, enjoy refreshments and interact with guests from around the world, allowing a unique opportunity to cultivate new relationships with highly qualified buyers from the emerging Asian art market, Christie's client base, and a new Asian and global audience.

The lounge, open March 21-22, will also feature a multi-media presentation of luxury real estate listings available for sale by the affiliated brokerages in attendance. Brochures, magazines, and detailed information on luxury property offerings, as well as corporate information written in both Chinese and English, will be available for guests. Christie’s International Real Estate and affiliate representatives will also be on-hand during show hours to answer questions and provide insight into luxury real estate around the globe.

“As the only global real estate network owned by a fine art auction house, Christie’s International Real Estate is pleased to partake in Christie’s Asian Art Week,” says Bonnie Stone Sellers, Chief Executive Officer of Christie’s International Real Estate. “The marketing of fine art and high-end real estate has been proven to be a natural combination. Our ability to provide advice on art and real estate through trusted relationships creates exceptional results and offers collectors an even broader range of services at the top end of the market.“

Christie’s International Real Estate affiliates participating in Asian Art Week include: Barbara Cleary's Realty Guild of New Canaan, Connecticut; Pacific Union International of San Francisco, California; Brown Harris Stevens of New York, New York; Houlihan Lawrence of Westchester, New York; and David Ogilvy & Associates of Greenwich, Connecticut.
