Christie’s International Real Estate Expands Presence in South Africa With New Affiliate in Cape Town

Cape Town, South Africa – Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network, has awarded Affiliate status to Greeff Properties in Cape Town, South Africa. Greeff Properties is a niche market real estate agency that has been in operation since 2001, when Mike Greeff started this agency from his dining room table. The Wynberg-based company has grown substantially and now in its tenth year of operation, has turned over £429m (5bln rand) in property sales, specializing not only in residential sales, but also in new developments and rentals throughout the Cape Peninsula.

The past year has been an exciting one for South Africa’s property market, fueled by the global attention brought by the World Cup Soccer Championships in the summer of 2010. Property prices saw an up tick in values of 7.1% year to date compared to August 2010, according to ABSA, one of the leading banks in South Africa.
