Sao Paulo's Award-Winning Grid House, a Contemporary Masterpiece, Offered at $11,500,000

Sao Paulo, Brazil – Harmoniously integrated into a hilly rise surrounded by pines, the Grid House seems to float above the ground offering sweeping panoramas of the valley below. The modules in the Grid include a nucleus with washing area, social area, guest room, owner’s apartment, and three isolated modules with two bedrooms each for children. The home also has areas for the garage, a housekeeper’s residence, maid quarters, and more all in the same grid motif.

At the highest point of the site, the construction is completed with a gazebo and two pavilions that house the saunas and Jacuzzi, fireplace, game room and barbecue grill. These two pavilions, supported by wooden beams resembling large wings, seem to defy gravity.

The design has garnered countless awards for the architectural firm of Forte, Gimenes & Marcondes Ferraz Arquitetos, which conceived the plan. “I believe there is a complete symbiosis between the buildings and the surrounding nature,” says the company’s Rodrigo Marcondes Ferraz.
