Brown Harris Stevens to Host Private Jewelry Consultations with Christie’s Specialist at Company’s East Hampton Office August 3rd and 4th

New York, New York — Luxury real estate firm Brown Harris Stevens, the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, Inc., is pleased to announce private jewelry consultations with Christie’s New York jewelry specialist, Jennifer Rosenthal. The event will take place at the company’s East Hampton, New York, office on August 3 and 4th. As part of the confidential auction evaluation, Rosenthal will also be accepting entries to Christie’s forthcoming jewelry sales.

From the unprecedented US$144 million sale of the Collection of Elizabeth Taylor in 2011 to record results achieved in New York, Geneva and Hong Kong in spring 2012, Christie’s is a market leader in jewelry auctions for the 19th year in a row. Pictured above is The Martian Pink, a brilliant-cut fancy intense pink diamond ring of 12.04 carets by Harry Winston, and sold at the Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels sale in May. Price: US$17,395,728 or US$1,444,000 per caret. 

Jennifer Rosenthal joined the international auction firm in June of 2011 and is presently an Associate Specialist in the Jewelry department based in New York. Ms. Rosenthal is responsible for researching and appraising property and providing insurance, estate tax and fair market value appraisals to clients as well as contributing to annual auctions and ongoing private sales. 

Prior to joining Christie’s, Ms. Rosenthal was an appraiser in the jewelry department at Doyle New York as well as working in the wholesale jewelry and diamond business. 

Ms. Rosenthal earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Syracuse University. She received her Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America in New York. 

Appointments will take place August 3rd from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and August 4th from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Brown Harris Stevens office located at 27 Main Street in East Hampton.
