Two-Day Golf Tournament Opens the Celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of Sardinia's Emerald Coast

Two days of great golf held last month at the Pevero Golf Club in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy, offered an opportunity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Pevero Golf Club, which is widely considered one of the most beautiful courses in the world. ImmobilSarda, the area's exclusive Affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate was pleased to sponsor the Pro Am Golf trophy at the event, confirming once again its fruitful collaboration with the exclusive Pevero Golf Club.

The event was comprised of a simple and compelling formula--30 teams, each composed of a professional player and three amateurs, competed over a distance of 36 holes. The beautiful spring days made this festive occasion even more enjoyable and exciting for the 120 golfers enrolled to the competition.

The race ended on the afternoon of second day, when professional golfer Matteo Verardo was crowned the best player in the individual classification. The Pro Am competition was won by the only Sardinian team in the competition, captained by the young but experienced pro player Pietro Ricci.

This successful event opened the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast), which will continue with a full calendar of important events including the "Porto Cervo Wine Festival" in which the protagonists are the excellent of Sardinian and Italian national wines, from 4 to 6 May.

Thanks to the remarkable success of the Pro Am Trophy, the golfing industry is confirmed once again as one of the most important components of Sardinia's tourist economy.
