Christie’s International Real Estate Recognizes Affiliated Brokers Named To Wall Street Journal/Real Trends 2013 “Top Thousand”

NEW YORK, NY  – Nearly a quarter of the nation’s top 15 real estate sales professionals ranked by transaction volume are agents of Christie’s International Real Estate’s affiliates, according to a recent report by Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends. 

The complete “Top Thousand” ranking designates its honorees as the top one half of one percent of more than 963,000 licensed REALTORS ® nationwide. The Top Thousand is divided into four categories, each listing the subsequent top 250 honorees: Individual Agent-Sales Volume, Individual Agent-Transaction Sides, Agent Team-Sales Volume and Agent Team-Transaction Sides. 

Within the report, 41 agents at affiliates of Christie’s International Real Estate made the top 250 for individual real estate professionals by transaction volume -- four of whom were named to the top 15.  Brown Harris Stevens in New York held a commanding lead as two of its agents were named to the sixth and seventh spots, Kyle W. Blackmon and John Burger, with more than USD $328 Million and USD $326 Million, respectively.  Drew Fenton and Jeff Hyland of Hilton & Hyland Real Estate in Beverly Hills, California attained the eighth and thirteenth spots, while Riskin Associates were ranked eleventh.  Ten additional agents from Brown Harris Stevens were named to the top 250 as well as representatives from Pacific Union International; Joshua & Co; Walt Danley Realty; Oliver Luxury Real Estate; Premiere Estate Properties; Long & Foster Companies, Inc.; Houlihan Lawrence; Fenton, Lang Brunder & Associates; Gloria Nilson and Co. Real Estate; Willis Allen Real Estate and Carmel Realty.

In the Individual Real Estate Professionals Category, calculated by transaction sides, Nancy Kennedy of Houlihan Lawrence was named to the top 75.

In the first of the two “teams” categories, based on the number of closed transaction sides for 2012, three of Long & Foster Companies, Inc. finished in the top 250, with the Creig Northrop Team of Clarksville, Maryland claiming the number four spot.  Debbie Dogrul Associates in Fairfax, Virginia rounded out the top 25.

In the second “teams” category, based on the amount of closed transaction volume for 2012, three brokers affiliated with Christie’s International Real Estate made the top 10, two of them from Long & Foster Companies, Inc.  The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster earned the No. 2 distinction with more than USD $428 Million; Williams Romito of Hilton & Hyland Real Estate in Beverly Hills, CA was ranked seventh and Debbie Dogrul Associates of Long & Foster ranked ninth.  In total, 18 teams affiliated with Christie’s International – 11 of them from Long & Foster Companies, Inc. -- were represented in the top 250.
