Christie's International Real Estate announces addition of Santa Fe, New Mexico-based Barker Realty Inc. to its global network

Christie's International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network and a subsidiary of Christie’s auction house, has awarded Affiliate status to Barker Realty Inc., a boutique residential real estate brokerage firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The announcement brings the total number of Affiliates in Christie’s International Real Estate global network to 134.

 

Based in the heart of Santa Fe’s historic Railyard district, Barker Realty has more than 50 sales associates in two offices located in downtown Santa Fe and Eldorado. A renowned market leader, the firm closed on more than 500 residences in 2012.

 

Now exclusively representing the Christie’s brand in Santa Fe County, Barker Realty joins a carefully selected organization of brokerages in 46 countries. Those brokerages have been recognized for their records of success – both in high-end property sales and exemplary client service.

Barker Realty hired the services of Peter Kempf, Founder of Peter Kempf International, to be the new Director of their Christie’s Affiliation. Peter was formerly with Christie’s Great Estates – now Christie’s International Real Estate. In that role he helped serve Christie’s client’s real estate interests.

 

Originally founded in 1968, Barker Realty’s roots date back four generations in the Santa Fe community through its namesake, the Barker family. Patriarch N.B. Laughlin, who arrived in Santa Fe from Texas on horseback in the 1880s and served as Territorial Supreme Court judge, is the grandfather of Barker Realty’s founder, Santa Fean Laughlin Barker. Since the brokerage firm’s establishment, Barker Realty Inc. has prided itself on providing clients with an unsurpassed level of market expertise, customer service and resources.
