Former PGA Champion Fred Couples Sells California Home
Fred Couples—once the top-ranked golfer in the world and the 1992 Masters champion—sold his home in Montecito, California this month. The 11,000-square-foot colonial estate, sited on five acres, features nine bedrooms, ocean and mountain views, and a special putting green frequently used by Couples. Village Properties, Realtors was involved in both sides of the transaction with Sharon Fisher and Vickie Craig representing the seller and Colleen Beall representing the buyer. “People are looking for value and finding it,” says Edward Edick, the firm’s co-owner. People with the financial wherewithal can find buying opportunities that no one could have even dreamed of years ago.” The property was listed at for US$12.5 million.
