Cimarron Club - 2,000 Private Acres in Colorado - Available to Only 12 Owners, the Next Stewards of this Unique Offering
Located in the ruggedly majestic San Juans, this unique concept redefines the ultra-private ski experience with terrain ranging from leisurely to heli-extreme and meticulously maintained
Harmony with wilderness defines this opportunity to include a staff of year-around expert outdoor guides and staff, a lodge with a commitment to farm-to-table dining, and only 10 parcels remaining
CIMARRON, CO – Nestled in Southwest Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, between Telluride and Crested Butte, the exclusive parcels that compose the 2,000 private acres of Cimarron Mountain Club elevate wilderness stewardship and an active outdoor lifestyle to the next levels. Divided into only a select 12 ranches of approximately 100 acres each, the 10 remaining private parcels are being internationally marketed by Christie’s International Real Estate and its exclusive Affiliate Telluride Real Estate Corp.
Larger than Aspen Mountain and surrounded by undevelopable public lands and National Forest, the Cimarron ski runs will be open only to the club’s owners and guests. Ranging in price from $2.5 to $3.85 million, the parcels will present spectacular views, complete privacy, and of course, an unimagined and intimate ski experience, as well as off-season guided activities such as rock climbing, horseback riding, fishing, paddle sports, hiking and mountain biking.
“A truly unique offering, Cimarron Mountain Club presents distinct luxury marked by intimacy in a natural environment,” said TD Smith, Managing Broker of Telluride Real Estate Corp. “Blending materials of traditional mountain architecture with the desires of modern life, structures will draw natural settings into living spaces for an unparalleled wilderness experience.”
Cimarron was envisioned as a small club on a big mountain – resulting in an almost invisible footprint on a vast wilderness for a select few and their families and friends. The project began in 2012 when leaders of Colorado’s best known ski resorts – former executives from Aspen, Telluride and Vail - were gathered to help re-envision the ideal mountain resort with a specific focus on natural preservation. Residents of Cimarron Mountain Club will be encouraged to maintain a car-free community— as transportation via snow-safe vehicles will be available—and support farm-to-table experiences through onsite harvesting and fishing to include trout, elk and vegetables served at the Club’s Lodge.
“The Club is designed for those who treasure the peace and solitude of wild lands and want to share in an enduring legacy of stewardship, adventure and recreation in harmony with nature,” said Jim Aronstein, Managing Equity Partner of Cimarron Mountain Club.
Skiers will enjoy untracked powder on the private, three-mile-wide mountain with more than 60 multi-level trails. Activities—powder cat skiing, downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, heli-skiing, and snowshoeing—include expert ski guides and heated and snack-filled snow cats.
A Club Lodge—situated at the confluence of the ski runs—presents a communal gathering point. And for the convenience and care of residents and their guests, Cimarron Mountain Club offers a full-time property and mountain manager, snow cat drivers, mechanics, and maintenance personnel.
“Cimarron Mountain Club is a multi-generational community that brings families and friends together to enjoy the mountains in a relaxed and private setting,” added Rick Moeser, Senior Vice President, Regional Manager for Christie’s International Real Estate. “The exclusivity and wilderness character of the experience is ensured by virtue of large parcel sizes and limited owners.”
