Villa dei Due Mari, a Spectacular Seaside Estate by Renowned Architect Jacques Savin Couelle

Villa dei Due Mari, a masterpiece of Sardinian design by world-renowned architect Jacques Savin Couelle, is now on the market. Represented by Christie’s Great Estates exclusive affiliate Immobilsarda in Sardinia, Italy, this two-villa estate is located in the exclusive Pevero Golf area, which stretches across the beautiful Costa Smeralda coastline.

Named for its spectacular ocean views that span from Cala di Volpe Bay to Pevero Bay, Villa dei Due Mari  (“Due Mari” or “Two Seas”) is infused with Jacques Savin Couelle’s signature style. Rated as one of the world’s top 100 architects by Architectural Digest, Couelle is renowned for blending stark contemporary design with the natural elements of Sardinia’s picturesque Costa Smeralda. He follows in the footsteps of his father, noted architect Jacques Couelle who built the Hotel Cala di Volpe in 1963, an artistic masterpiece that helped transform Costa Smeralda into one of Italy’s most glamorous resort destinations for celebrities, royalty, and the international social elite.

Villa dei Due Mari is situated 200 meters (650 feet) away from the bay of the Hotel Cala di Volpe, and is a mere 60 meters (200 feet) from the nearby Golf Club. The estate features 3,000 square meters of parklike grounds that gently slope towards the sea and blend seamlessly with the surrounding golf course, creating continuity between the green and the property.

The two villas have a total of seven bedrooms—all with en-suite bathrooms— two guest bathrooms, and three fully equipped kitchens. Villa dei Due Mari is imbued with materials of the highest quali ty—natural stone, wood, glass, fine me tals, and granite—all carefully chosen by Couelle to complement the warm colors of Costa Smeralda. The interiors feature brilliant white walls and vaulted ceilings with antique juniper beams, and the spaces are characterized by niches, arches, and curved lines. Impeccably finished, the living areas are imaginatively arranged in a circular fashion, creating spectacular effects of perspective. Sliding doors open onto terraces that offer panoramic views of the Bay.

Villa dei Due Mari has been designed to bring a sense of serenity, wellbeing, and peace to its residents. Harmony between architecture and nature characterize the property, which blends with its magnificent surrounds in a completely natural way.
