Born and raised in Venice and fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, Irene graduated from the city’s State Technical Institute for Tourism with a diploma before embarking on a career in the tourism industry where she remained for a number of years.
After moving to Australia for a year and working in a variety of settings ranging from hospitality to farming, Irene returned to Venice – the pull of home was too strong to resist! – decided that a change in career direction was in order and has been happily working in the short rentals and real estate sector for the last 3 years.
Passionate about her home city and traditional Venetian ‘standing up’ rowing ‘Voga alla Veneta’, she regularly rows for fun during the evenings and particularly at sunset when she’s free to relax with friends!
