John Vona

John has over 25 years of timberland management experience working throughout the US. He joined LandVest in January 2019 and serves as the Land & Timber Manager for LandVest’s western region, overseeing a 180,000-acre timberland investment for clients. Before joining LandVest, he spent 12 years at Green Diamond Resource Company serving in a variety of roles including managing silvicultural investments, forest inventory, timberland acquisition and divestitures, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Before that, John performed A&D analysis, forest inventory, and GIS support for RMK Timberland, Plum Creek, and Georgia Pacific in the US South. John received a BS in Natural Resource Management at Rutgers University and an MS in Forest Management and an MBA from the University of Georgia.
