The gardens in Waverley are a very special feature. Designed and implemented originally by Diarmuid Gavin, and later enhanced and nurtured by Paul Doyle – both award winning preeminent landscape designers, their ethos of playfulness, elegance and balance are displayed at every turn bringing landscape design to the next level in Waverley. Form and functionality are married to perfection. Not forgetting this is a family garden play areas are strategically placed screened by manicured yew hedges defining the play area, providing privacy in an almost maze-like setting and further adding to the sense of fun. At every turn the gardens delight with blooms from March til November. Upon arrival through the gates and up the winding driveway, undulating Teletubby style lawns, slowly reveal with impact the main house. A bonded resin driveway, with golden hue, gives way to gravel pathways, bordered with hand laid cobbles and bountiful flowerbeds. Most recently, ambient lighting has been added to the gardens, from the laneway outside the gate all the way into the rear patio and sunken trampoline garden – creating a magical ambience from dusk to dawn.
