Colette Cachey Smithburg's long-standing career in Chicago has earned her the reputation as a professional, honest, results-oriented real estate broker. Colette enjoys playing a trusted advisory role during the entire real estate process and well beyond the final transaction. To that end, she spends a lot of time distinguishing what is important to her clients. She asks questions that clarify clients holistic lifestyle needs. Where a client(s) lives must match their lifestyle needs. Once the foundation has been established, Colette gets to work using her knowledge of the many Chicago neighborhoods to match an area with the client(s), then find the perfect property. A devoted urban dweller, she has lived in more than five of Chicago's great neighborhoods granting her a special insight into the unique charms of these and many other areas.

Colette has always had an interest in real estate. Growing up the granddaughter of a stonemason and daughter of a developer, dinner conversations at the kitchen table included a healthy measure of talk about buyer needs, home models and the business of selling homes. She saw firsthand how each home is supremely important to its buyer and how rewarding it is to match people with their dream home.

Colette is a proud resident of Lakeview where she lives with her husband Tom and her twin boys, Will and Teddy. The family attends Sacred Heart School and summers on their home in New Buffalo, Michigan. Colette can help you buy your Michigan home as she holds a Real Estate license in both states.

Colette received a Master's in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition to her work in real estate, Colette actively gives her time and talent to the Steppenwolf theatre serving as a trustee. She is on the Women's Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago.
